Intermediate Real Estate Appraiser – New Brunswick

Appraisals (Fundy) Ltd. would like to entertain applications for a career minded individual to join our established Firm in southern New Brunswick. The ideal candidate would be a member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada, currently enrolled with the University of British Columbia, (UBC) fulfilling further educational requirements under the Post Graduate Certificate in Real Property Valuation, (PGCV) in order to obtain an Accredited Appraisal Canadian Institute, (AACI) designation. This is an intermediate position that would expose the new associate to a vast scope of assignments and responsibilities associated with day to day practice.

Appraisals (Fundy) Ltd is an independent consulting firm providing reports and studies associated with real property for individual clients including; Private Clientele, Banks/Credit Unions, Private Lenders, Government Institutions including and the Accounting and Legal Professions. The Firm has been operation since 1969 in the Saint John Region, however, completes work throughout the Province, including the Maritimes for select clients. Over the years we have been fortunate to be involved in all forms of real property matters, including residential, multi-family, commercial, industrial, institutional uses over the years. Recent years have seen two Senior Consultants move on to retirement after successful careers in the fee appraiser industry.

The successful individual will be immersed in the operations of the Firm including; networking, accompanying senior associates for on-site training, organization of relevant data, investigation of marketplace information and trends, analysis, valuation methods and report writing.

 

Qualified candidates will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Be licensed and own a vehicle
  • Have a University Degree
  • Member in good standing with the Appraisal Institute of Canada, (AIC)
  • Willing to enrol or have completed courses credited with AIC
  • Proficient in Word, and Excel
  • Familiarity with Discount Cash Flows would be an asset
  • Strong analytic and writing ability
  • Efficient time management
  • Strong Work Ethic and Self-motivated
